In the short film Miror, Miror Chanel Creative Director of Make-up, Peter Philips, has taken his talent for bedazzeling facial features (also see here) to another level. Using his education from the Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts, which has given him a palette of crystals, fabric, and beads in addition to the Chanel powders and pigments, Philip admits to being ” a huge fan of visual communication.” For the film, he was inspired by a specific mirror-embellished coat from Karl Lagerfeld’s Paris-Bombay pre-fall show—and the fact that there is “something Indian” about his newly formulated Rouge Allure lipstick line (due out in September).

Inguana Butane sat for three hours, while Philips and team glued pieces of reflective glass onto her face to create a mesmerizing quality as it slips through a digitized third eye on loop, careful to enhance four of the sixteen shades the lipstick comes in.
