Six years in the making, Clinique introduces their brand new innovation, A Different Nail Enamel for Sensitive Skins. Did you know that a person touches their eyes on average 200 times a day? Street stylette, Alexa Chung joins an impressive group of L’Oreal campaign stars, including Cheryl Cole and Gwen Stefani, as the latest face of L’Oréal Professionnel INOA color. The above photo is a sneak peak of the campaign ad posted by Chung on her Instagram.

True to her trademark ’60s hipster style with kohl’d eyes, whispy fringe, plait and classic shift dress, Alexa is looked after to by stylist Jose Quijano at Neville Hair & Beauty who adds higher and lower mocha tones to keep her tresses looking vibrant and natural.

The end of this summer will be the end of our wait for Michael Kors’ makeup line. The brand new collection of color cosmetics, body and sun care, and three new fragrances, is set to launch in August.

According to WWD, there are going to be three distinct lines in the collection: “Sporty,” “Sexy,” and “Glam,” which is a reflection of the designers’ clothing collection as well. The collection will be sold at Michael Kors stores and at Macy’s exclusively for one year with prices ranging from $18 for a nail lacquer to $95 for a fragrance. Each collection features a fragrance, two lipstick colors, two lip gloss colors, and two nail lacquers in colors that represent each collection’s vibe. Think nudey-taupes in the “Sporty” collection and dark violet in “Glam.” And because the Kors woman is always sun-kissed, there’s a full line of bronzing and self-tanning products, too.

Look out for ads starring Kors fave Karmen Pedaru in the print and TV ads, which were shot by Mario Testino. The TV commercial will feature Pedaru dancing to Duran Duran‘s “Girls on Film,” and there will be a shoppable, choose-your-own adventure type video.

Kruger was featured in Chanel’s Allure fragrance campaign back in 1996 and then again in their Paris-Biarritz bag advertising campaign which was shot by Karl Lagerfeld in 2007. The campaign is slated to launch later this year.

In the ‘Everything’ project, Dutch artists and duo, Lernert and Sander, mixed 1400 of the years most popular fragrances into one complete concoction. To achieve their result they fashioned a special hand-blown jumbo sized perfume bottle. Then they added and combined many thousands of dollars worth of expensive perfume. To save on costs they scrounged around for sample size amulets and squeezed out their previous aromatic droplets. “We think Everything smells of your average fragrance department store — that wall of smell that hits you when you enter it… A friend of ours thinks it smells of Chanel #5. We think it doesn’t, but love the idea that all the fragrances of 2012 mixed together ends up to smelling like the most iconic smell in the world.” Lenert and Sander presented their creation between March 1st-9th at the Colette shop in Paris, and offered patrons the chance to test their ambitious fragrance.

The European Union implemented the final stage of a ban on animal testing for all cosmetic products by applying it to all imports from anywhere in the world.

According to Tonio Borg, European commissioner for health and consumer policy, the move is in line with the majority of European citizens who believe that the use of laboratory animals is cruel and not necessary when it comes to the beauty industry.

He was quoted as saying that… “Today’s entry into force of the full marketing ban gives an important signal on the value that Europe attaches to animal welfare… The Commission is committed to continue supporting the development of alternative methods and to engage with third countries to follow our European approach.”

NARS is releasing a new collection of polish duos, where the bold new collection couples shades from shoe and jewelry designer Pierre Hardy’s seasonal color palette. To uphold the theme of the collection, each set of lacquers comes housed in a small shoe box with a dust bag. The Pierre Hardy for NARS colors are: Verebra (coral & dusty rose), Ethno Run (orange & navy), Easy Walking (rose gold & camel), Sharks (yellow & lavender), Sharplines (peach & burgundy, not shown) and Venomous (gunmetal & black). The collection also includes two vivid blush shades (Rotonde, a tiger lily hue, and Boys Don’t Cry, a bright pink grapefruit). In a cool interactive video, NARS showcases its new Satin Lip Pencils. The video follows musician Sarah Ruba and stylist Catherine Baba as they pucker up to various shades of the new coloring tool. By clicking on either of the ladies, you are lead into a “choose your own adventure”-like glimpse at some of the pencil shades and their different looks.

X-Factor sensation Leona Lewis is the newest brand ambassador to collaborate with cruelty free beauty brand, The Body Shop. As part of the partnership, one of Leona’s first activities is to help The Body Shop and NGO Cruelty Free International in their joint, global campaign to end animal testing for cosmetics forever, building on the EU ban on animal testing for cosmetics which comes into effect on March 11th this year.

Leona has also put her name to an exclusive cruelty-free make-up and fragrance collection, the Limited Edition Collection by Leona Lewis.

Featuring 100% vegetable ingredients in fashion-forward shades, the Limited Edition it features quirky packaging with a floral deer motif, celebrating the fact that The Body Shop was one of the first beauty brands to use cruelty-free, man-made musk instead of musk derived from the musk deer.

The Limited Edition Collection by Leona Lewis is available at selected stores from March 26th 2013.

Jo Malone presents limited edition fragrance collection Sugar & Spice in the spring of 2013. The collection consists of five dessert inspired fragrances signed by perfumer Christine Nagel.

The names of the perfumes alone will make your mouth water: are Lemon Tart, a of scent of lemon pie with notes of citruses, verbena, meringue cream and lemon thyme; Redcurrant & Cream, a summer fruit pudding containing notes of red currants, strawberries, raspberries and creamy musk; Elderflower & Gooseberry smells like crushed green gooseberries, juicy lychee and delicate elderflower; Ginger Biscuit smells like baked cookies spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger and dipped in caramel, along with buttery toasted hazelnuts, tonka bean and vanilla; and lastly, Bitter Orange & Chocolate, which contains aromas of bitter orange dipped in dark chocolate with additional notes of warm, powdery cocoa, milky coconut, and coumarin.
